Launching Serviceguard Manager from Windows
Here are 2 ways to launch Serviceguard Manager in Windows:
• By default, a shortcut icon is placed on your desktop (labelled SG Manager). Click
it to launch the program. When installed, it has the simple command without
options. You will be prompted to enter the options once the program opens.
• From the Start menu, select Programs -> Serviceguard Manager. This launches the
simple command, with no options.
NOTE: You can also launch Serviceguard Manager from an HP-UX or Linux
system.
Scenario 3 - Web-based multi-cluster management
Scenario 3 applies if the following is true:
• One or more clusters with Serviceguard version A.11.15.01 through A.11.18
• Serviceguard Manager version A.05.01 with HP SIM 5.10 installed on a server
NOTE: Serviceguard Manager can be launched by HP Systems Insight Manager
version 5.10 if Serviceguard Manager is installed on an HP Systems Insight Manager
Central Management Server.
For a Serviceguard A.11.18 cluster, Systems Insight Manager will attempt to launch
Serviceguard Manager B.01.01 from one of the nodes in the cluster; for a
Serviceguard A.11.17.01 cluster, Systems Insight Manager will attempt to launch
Serviceguard Manager B.01.00 from one of the nodes in the cluster.
For a Serviceguard A.11.17 cluster or earlier, Serviceguard Manager A.05.01 will
be launched via Java Web Start. You must ensure that the hostname for each
Serviceguard node can be resolved by DNS. For more information about this older
version of Serviceguard Manager, see the Serviceguard Manager Version A.05.01
