Serviceguard Version A.11.17 Release Notes
Installing Serviceguard on HP-UX 11i v2
Chapter 124
Installing Serviceguard on HP-UX 11i v2
Open SSL is a dependency for the successful installation of Serviceguard.
The Service Cluster Manager component COM (Cluster Object Manager)
depends on OpenSSL. OpenSSL installs as part of the operating system;
do not remove it.
NOTE The EMS-CORE fileset is no longer a component of Serviceguard, but it
is a dependency, which means that it must be present on the installation
media or depot when Serviceguard is installed. If you create your own
depots as a part of your installation process, be sure to include the
EMS-CORE fileset, which is part of the Event Monitoring Services
product (B7609BA).
Serviceguard will automatically be installed as part of that process when
you install the MCOE or one of the HP Serviceguard Storage
Management Suite bundles.
To install Serviceguard independently, follow these steps:
1. Install HP-UX 11i v2 before loading Serviceguard Version A.11.17.
2. Use the swinstall command to install Serviceguard, product
number T1905BA.
3. Verify the installation. Use the following command to display a list of
all installed components:
# swlist -R T1905BA
The filesets that make up the Serviceguard product are:
•Serviceguard.CM-SG
• Cluster-Monitor.CM-CORE
• Cluster-Monitor.CM-CORE-MAN
• Package-Manager.CM-PKG
• Package-Manager.CM-PKG-MAN
• Package-CVM-CFS.CM-CVM-CFS
• Package-CVM-CFS.CM-CVM-CFS-COM
