Before Using HP Serviceguard Manager: Setting Up
You must have the following already completed before you can start
using HP Serviceguard Manager:
• At least one cluster node with Serviceguard version A.11.17.01
installed.
•SMH (System Management Homepage), version 2.2.4 started at the
selected Serviceguard A.11.17.01 cluster member node.
• Have a web browser (Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher, Mozilla 1.4 or
higher) with access to SMH.
• Launch SMH (Settings -> Security -> User Groups) to configure user
roles for SMH. Please refer to the online help topic About Security, as
it details each HP Serviceguard Manager Role Based Access (RBA)
permissions, as well as root privileges.
• Create the initial Serviceguard role-based access file
(cmclnodelist.) See the section “Access Roles” in Chapter 5 of the
the Managing Serviceguard manual at http://docs.hp.com ->

Launching Serviceguard Manager
There are three scenarios for accessing Serviceguard Manager based on
the number of clusters you want to manage, and which Serviceguard
version you are using.
