Limitations
Following are the limitations of using Serviceguard NFS Toolkit A.11.31.06 with Serviceguard
A.11.18 and later versions and CFS:
• Lock coherency for multiple NFS servers is not supported. NFS file lock coherency is not
supported when multiple NFS servers are concurrently accessing a file. Lock operations do
not return an error, but lock coherency is not guaranteed. This may cause data corruption
or cause an application to hang.
• Cross mounting using the nfs_xmnt script is not supported, since CFS provides file sharing
functionality within the cluster.
• Secure NFS is not supported when using Serviceguard with CFS.
• The maximum number of NFS server nodes supported in a CFS cluster is four.
• Serviceguard supports Cross Subnet Failover. However, Serviceguard NFS Toolkit has
limitations with Cross Subnet configurations. For Cross Subnet support details, refer to the

• In modular packages, online package reconfiguration is not supported for HA NFS specific
module parameters.
