Serviceguard NFS Toolkit Overview HP Serviceguard Network File Server (NFS) Toolkit uses HP Serviceguard to set up highly available NFS servers. An NFS server is a host that exports its local directories and makes them available for client hosts to mount using NFS. On the NFS client, users can access these mounted directories in the same manner that they access the local file system.

Known Problems and Workarounds The following is a list of known problems and, where possible, the appropriate workarounds: Problem If you run AutoFS on NFS servers in a Serviceguard cluster and AutoFS creates loopback virtual file system (LOFS) mounts to file systems exported as part of an NFS package, Serviceguard may be unable to migrate the NFS package when a failover occurs. NOTE: This problem only occurs on NFS servers that run AutoFS. You can safely use AutoFS on NFS clients.
