Known Problems and Workarounds

Enabling AutoFS on the HA NFS server needs to be done with caution. However, this kind of

conﬁguration is a fully supported conﬁguration if one of these two actions is taken before

restarting the AutoFS daemon or before performing any stopping or restarting NFS client (via

"nfs.client stop/start") or NFS server (via "nfs.server stop/start):

• Halt the NFS package(s) running on the server node ﬁrst, perform the action needed (see

above), and then run the NFS package(s) again.

• Manually move the NFS package(s) from primary server nodes to adoptive server node.

The NFS-client or NFS-server must NOT be stopped/started when one of above two actions is

taken.
