Compatibility and Installation Requirements

Software Requirements

Version A.11.09 or greater of MC/ServiceGuard must be installed.

The NFS services must be installed.

There are no other software requirements other than those for MC/ServiceGuard.

Hardware Requirements

For this release, MC/ServiceGuard Toolkit has been tested over 4 or fewer nodes. However,

one should be able to use MC/ServiceGuard NFS Toolkit in an MC/ServiceGuard cluster with

16 nodes or fewer.

Data disks associated with MC/ServiceGuard NFS package must be external disks. All nodes

that support the MC/ServiceGuard NFS package must have access to the external disks. For

most disks, this means that the disks must be attached to a shared bus that is connected to all

nodes that support the package.

There are no other hardware requirements other than those for MC/ServiceGuard.

OS Platform and Version Compatibility

MC/ServiceGuard and MC/ServiceGuard NFS Toolkit are available only on HP 9000 series

800 servers.

Version A.11.00.03 of MC/ServiceGuard NFS Toolkit may be used only on HP-UX release

11.00.

Disk and Memory Requirements

Installing MC/ServiceGuard NFS Toolkit requires only about 34 Kbytes of disk space.

There are no other disk space and memory requirements other than those for NFS and

MC/ServiceGuard.
