MC/ServiceGuard NFS Toolkit A.11.23.02 Release Notes Announcement Announcement In the earlier versions of MC/ServiceGuard NFS Toolkit, file locks were not maintained when an NFS server package was moved to a new node. To address this limitation, the latest version of MC/ServiceGuard NFS Toolkit, A.11.23.02, includes a new feature - File Lock Migration. The detailed information of this feature is as follows: • Each HA/NFS package designates a unique holding directory located in one of the filesystems associated with the package. In other words, an empty directory is created in one of the filesystems that moves between servers as part of the package.

MC/ServiceGuard NFS Toolkit A.11.23.02 Release Notes Known Problems and Workarounds Known Problems and Workarounds Problem If you run AutoFS on NFS servers that participate in a Highly Available NFS cluster (through MC/ServiceGuard), the behavior of building a local IP interface list can, in certain cases, render MC/ServiceGuard unable to migrate an NFS package during a fail-over event. NOTE This problem impacts only HA/NFS server systems running AutoFS. You can safely use AutoFS on client systems.
