for more information. HP recommends that you install JRE 1.5.0.16 (or later), or JRE 1.6.0.04 (or
later) available at: http://www.hp.com/go/java
To update the Serviceguard Manager JRE on HP-UX:
1. Confirm that Serviceguard Manager version A.05.02 is installed on your system by entering
the following command: swlist SG-Manager
2. Confirm which JRE versions are installed by entering the following command:
/usr/sbin/swlist Java15JRE Java60JRE
For example:
>/usr/sbin/swlist Java15JRE Java60JRE
# Initializing...
# Contacting target "clara"...
#
# Target: clara:/
#
# Java15JRE 1.5.0.16.00 Java 1.5 JRE for HP-UX
Java15JRE.Jre15 1.5.0.16.00 Java 1.5 JRE
# Java60JRE 1.6.0.04.00 Java 6.0 JRE for HP-UX
Java60JRE.Jre60 1.6.0.04.00 Java 6.0 JRE
HP recommends that you install JRE 1.5.0.16 (or later), or JRE 1.6.0.04 (or later), if these
versions are not already installed.
3. Enter swremove -x enforce_dependencies=false SG-Manager.SGMGR-JRE
4. Enter rm fR /opt/sgmgr/jre
5. For Java1.5 enter: ln s /opt/java1.5/jre /opt/sgmgr/jre
6. For Java6 enter: ln -s /opt/java6/jre /opt/sgmgr/jre
If you are updating from an earlier version of Serviceguard Manager, your user preference files
are replaced with default settings. The new preference files are compatible with Serviceguard
Manager Version A.03.00.01 and later. Preferences from earlier versions cannot be carried over.
