What’s in this Version
ServiceGuard Manager, version A.02.00 is available. All platforms are
available from the web at software.hp.com, or are delivered on CD ROM:
Product B8325BA software and license for HP-UX
Product T1228BA software and license for Linux
Product B8341BA software and license for Windows
Now, you can now do common administrative commands from the
ServiceGuard Manager menus. You select a cluster object, then select
from a list of appropriate commands on the menu.
You can run or halt a cluster, a node, or a package.
You can move a package to a new node, from the menu or by dragging
it with the mouse.
You can change package switching and node switching.
You can do administration commands to any ServiceGuard cluster
objects on your map, whether the cluster is running on Linux or HP-UX.
The commands are issued to the cluster through an eligible HP-UX
server. (See “Compatibility Information and Installation Requirements,
below, for details.)
Now, ServiceGuard Manager runs on Redhat Linux, HP-UX, and
Windows.
Now, ServiceGuard Manager interface is available in Japanese as well as
English.
Now, ServiceGuard Manager can be integrated into VPO 6.0 as well as
OpenView’s Network Node Manager or IT/Operations.
Now, ServiceGuard Manager can be launched from ServiceControl
Manager (see http://www.software.hp.com/products/SCMGR/).
Now, ServiceGuard Manager displays information about quorum server,
a type of arbitration method like a cluster lock. If two equal groups of
nodes try to reform the cluster after afailure,the group that first reaches
this arbitrator will reform the cluster. If a quorum server is configured,
information about it is in its cluster’s Properties. If there is a status
alert, a quorum server badge appears on the map near the cluster icon.
