ServiceGuard Manager Version A.02.00 Release Notes
Patches and Fixes in this Version
If you already do have two versions, the Uninstall option will silently
fail. Instead, go to Start -> Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs.
Navigate to C:\Program Files\Hewlett Packard\ServiceGuard
Manager\SGMgr. Click Remove.

• What is the problem? Package start/halt failure errors are not
reported well.
If an error occurs and a package cannot start or fail, the progress
message says, “Unknown error returned”. Actually, the API is not
able to return the errors. Also, the complete error message may not be
visible in the dialog box, or the text may be unreadable as if it were
overlaid.
What is the workaround? Go to the syslog file on the node where the
package was being started or stopped. The errors are recorded there.
If the start or stop involves a failover, check the syslog file on the
failover node, too.

• What is the problem? If the incorrect password is entered while the
“Save Password?” box is checked on the login/connect dialog box, it
will be saved, and presented as the default every time the user logs
in.
What is the workaround? You can delete the user preference file, and
start fresh. It is in the ServiceGuard Manager directory, under
/users/<user.name>.
