Patches and Fixes in this Version
This section lists required patches, defects that have been fixed in this
version, and current known defects and workarounds.
Required and Recommended Patches
No patches are required for ServiceGuard Manager itself.
However, if you want to administration commands, you need to connect
to an HP-UX server that has ServiceGuard A.11.13. The server needs
two patches:
• You need one HP-UX patch for ServiceGuard A.11.13 itself:
PHSS_24678. To see if you have this patch installed, enter: swlist
|grep “PHSS_24678”
• You need one HP-UX patch for the Cluster Object Manager, which is
automatically installed with ServiceGuard (PHSS_22175). To see if
you have this patch installed, enter: swlist |grep “Cluster
Object Manager” The version should be A.01.03.01.
ServiceGuard Manager installs its own JRE (Java Runtime
Environment). Check for defects for each platform’s JRE, Version 1.3.1.

Fixed in this Version
JAGad23570 Occasional JVM problems observed on
multi-processor (more than 2 processors). Exception Access
Violation message.
• What is the problem? Testing under heavy stress for several days,
there were problems with Java Virtual Machines on NT
multiprocessor systems.
