ServiceGuard Manager Version A.02.00 Release Notes
Compatibility Information and Installation Requirements
Installing ServiceGuard Manager on Linux Install ServiceGuard
Manager on a computer that has Red Hat Linux, version 7.1 or later,
with kernel version 2.4.2 or later.
You can install from two places: from a disk or from a browser
From the CD-ROM:
1. Insert the disk and mount the CD-ROM drive. Choose a name for
your directory, for example </SGM_ROM>.
2. From </SGM_ROM>/SGManager/LINUX, enter:
rpm -i sgmanager-A.02.00-1.product.redhat.i386.rpm
From the web:
Go to http://www.software.hp.com Click High Availability. Click
ServiceGuard Manager in the alphabetical list.
Save the sgmanager-A.02.00-1.product.redhat.i386.rpm file to
your disk.
From the directory where you saved the file, run the install process
with this command:
rpm -i sgmanager-A.02.00-1.product.redhat.i386.rpm
To save disk space, you can remove the rpm file when installation is
done.
After rpm completes, verify the installation:
1. Is the man page is installed? (Enter: man sgmgr)
2. Was the directory created for log files? (Enter: ll /var/opt/sgmgr)
3. Are all the program files in the installation direction,
/usr/local/sgmgr/ by default? (Enter: ll /usr/local/sgmgr/*)
