ServiceGuard Manager Version A.02.00 Release Notes
Compatibility Information and Installation Requirements
administrative commands on any cluster objects that ServiceGuard
Manager discovers - that is, any cluster objects on the map.
Your operators cannot administer Linux clusters unless you give
them root access on an HP-UX server.
There are just two ways to prevent a root user on an HP-UX server
from administering a cluster:
— Do not put a cluster on the same subnets as a server that is
qualified for administration commands. (See ServiceGuard
information in "Required and Recommended Patches” in this
document.)
— Prevent the server from displaying information about the cluster.
Be sure that neither cmclnodelist nor .rhosts have an entry for
<servername> root. (This also prevents that server from
displaying the cluster in ServiceGuard Manager.)
