Supported features in this version:
1. Synchronous Replication mode
2. Fully Provisioned and Thinly Provisioned Virtual Volumes
3. Remote Copy configurations
4. 3PAR Virtual Domains
5. Serviceguard package failover policies site_preferred and
site_preferred_manual (Available with SG/LX A.11.20.10 or later)
6. LVM
7. Support for Asynchronous Periodic Replication mode
8. Persistent Reservations (PR)
9. Device Mapper multipathing
10. N-1 or 1-N Remote Copy Configuration with below mentioned condition:
In a N-1 or 1-N Remote Copy topology, 3PAR allows only one of the pairs to
be bi-directional, rest of the pairs will be uni-directional. 3Par recommends
not to use the uni-directional pairs for Disaster Recovery. So, one can
configure Metrocluster or Continentalclusters only between the arrays that
are in a bi directional configuration within a N-1 or 1-N Remote Copy setup.
11. Support for VMWare virtual machines as Metrocluster nodes
12. Persistent reservations support with device mapper multipathing
13. Cluster Verification support
4
HP Metrocluster 3PAR package will have impact if the HP 3PAR storage
system is upgraded to any of the following 3PAR OS versions
· 2.3.1 MU5 Patch35 or later
· 3.1.1 MU3 Patch27 or later
· 3.1.2 MU3 Patch16 or later
Upon completion of upgrade, it is recommended to get the certificate file or
certificate exception file saved in the default location. HP Metrocluster for
3PAR supports only the default location of the certificate or certificate
exception file.
