• Cluster simulation.
• Map view of cluster.
• Alert generation for manual site switching failover mode.
• Creating and Monitoring continental cluster.
• Localization in Simplified Chinese and Japanese.

About the new features
This section explains the major new capabilities introduced in the A.12.00.00 release. For more
information about using these capabilities, see Managing HP Serviceguard A.12.00.00 for Linux
at http://www.hp.com/go/linux-serviceguard-docs.
Cluster simulation
Cluster simulation allows administrators to simulate different kinds of failures, such as node, network,
and workload failures (that is, Serviceguard packages). Cluster simulation is capable of simulating
node and network interface failures. Cluster simulation evaluates and analyzes what happens to
the package due to simulated failures, whether the packages will failover and start on a specified
node. The cluster states reported by the simulated cluster exactly matches with the real Serviceguard
cluster. This helps in analyzing high availability design for various failure scenarios.
cmsimulatecl command is introduced as part of this feature. This command allows users to
simulate Serviceguard cluster environment to verify high availability design and identify SPOF
(single points of failures) in the Serviceguard cluster deployment. For more information about cluster
simulation see Managing HP Serviceguard A.12.00.00 for Linux manual.
Cluster analytics
Serviceguard cluster analytics provides a mechanism to perform "availability audits" on Serviceguard
cluster, node, and application packages running on the cluster. New commands introduced as
part of this feature are as follows:
• cmcaadmin—This command is used to manage cluster analytics daemon.
• cmcashowkpi—This command is used to display KPI (Key Performance Indicator) for
Serviceguard cluster component.
New Serviceguard Manager also has capabilities to view KPIs in donut chart and graphs.
For more information about cluster analytics see Managing HP Serviceguard A.12.00.00 for Linux
manual.
