Documentation Errata
The section “Implementing Channel Bonding (Red Hat)” in Chapter 5 of the previous
(seventh) edition of the manual Managing Serviceguard for Linux has the following errors
and omissions:
• The reference to /etc/modules.conf is incorrect.
The correct file name is /etc/modprobe.conf
• For Red Hat 5 only, the following additional information needs to be added to the
configuration files.
— Add the following line to the ifcfg-bond0file:
BONDING OPTS=’miimon=100 mode =1’
— Include the hardware (MAC) address of the interface in the ifcfg-ethn slave
files, for example:
HWADDR=00:12:79:43:5b:f4
These errors have been corrected in the latest (eighth) edition of Managing Serviceguard
for Linux.
