Can not create persistent minor numbers on RHEL4

What is the problem? lvm2 on RHEL4.4 had a bug so that the

persistent configuration can not be created with lvm2-2.02.06-6.0. For

What is the workaround?

There are two ways to address this issue:

1. Export the filesystem with an assigned filesystem identification.

2. Update to latest lvm2 package (lvm2-2.02.07).
