MEMBER_TIMEOUT
In RHCS, the token timeout is the number of
milliseconds a node has to send the token
before the node is considered failed. cman
sets this to a default of 10000 (10 seconds).
In SG/LX, The MEMBER_TIMEOUT parameter
defaults to 14000000 (14 seconds). If a
heartbeat is not received from a node within
this time, it is declared dead and the cluster
reforms without that node. A value of 10 to 25
seconds is appropriate for most installations.

SUBNET
IP_MONITOR
POLLING_TARGET
In SG/LX, these parameters are used to
monitor the subnet.

WEIGHT_NAME
WEIGHT_DEFAULT
In SG/LX, WEIGHT_NAME and
WEIGHT_DEFAULT parameters to define a
default value for this weight for all packages
except system multi-node packages. Package
weights correspond to node capacities; node
capacity is checked against the corresponding
package weight to determine if the package
can run on that node.

USER_NAME
USER_HOST
USER_ROLE
In SG/LX, three entries set the access control
policy for the cluster.
Mapping of RHCS and SLE HA system attributes to SG/LX node attributes
The following table maps the RHCS and SLE HA system attributes to the closest SG/LX node attributes.

Description

Node id and uname
NODE_NAME
Name of the node in cluster
Failover domain
Location, co locataion
“capacity_name” and
“capacity_value”
In Serviceguard, “capacity_name” and
“capacity_value” attributes are used to define
capacities of nodes.
In RHCS, node name in
/etc/cluster.conf is used to
find out the network interface
to be used
Totem interface includes the
network details.
NETWORK_INTERFACE
HEARTBEAT_IP
STATIONARY_IP
In SG/LX, these parameters represent the LAN
interface(s) used for heartbeat or data LAN.
Mapping the 3PAR CLX attributes to SG Metrocluster attributes
