Serviceguard Extension for SAP Version B.05.00 Release Notes (April 2010)
cmenqord is used, if the output of the command reports Resource Items that have a name that
begins with /applications/sap/enqor
▲ If an [A]SCS package is identified: Package switching for the corresponding replication package, then
you must manually disabled it on the intended host to be upgraded:
cmmodpkg -d -n <hostname> <packagename><
You must manually halt and restart the Central Service packages for the [A]SCS instance on the node
where the replication instance package is running
The replication package automatically halts and may restart on a third node in the cluster, if it allowed.
When complete, the [A]SCS package will no longer prevent the installation. After installation, you may
need to kill the cmenqord process using the kill <pid> command.
Once the node is patched, re-enable the replication package. cmmodpkg -d -n <hostname>
<packagename>
▲ If an [A]REP/ERS package is identified:
Replication packages for [A]REP/ERS instances that run on the host that is to be upgraded and use the
cmenqord package resource should be temporarily halted. If the replication package can run on more
than two nodes, it can also be manually moved to a node other than the node on which the [A]SCS
package is running.
The [A]REP/ERS package will now no longer prevent the installation. After installation, use the kill
<pid> command to the process id of the cmenqord. The [A]REP/ERS packages can now be restarted
on the node.
▲ There is no state backup for the Central Service Instance while a replication package is down or during
the [A]REP/ERS Instance restart. Therefore, if an [A]SCS failover occurs during the patch operation,
there is a risk that SAP enqueue state information will get lost, and all open transactions will have to
be reset. It is recommended that you install the bundle as part of a planned downtime.

Known Limitation
HP does not recommend combining SGeSAP 5.00 modules in the same package with Serviceguard NFS
Toolkit A.11.31.05 (B5140BA) modules. The cmapplyconf(1m) and cmcheckconf(1m) commands
must access SAP directories that are handled by an NFS component in the package. Unless the package is
