Serviceguard Extension for SAP Release Notes Version B.05.10, December 2012

Operation with the SRP Reference Architecture for Oracle is available only after installation
of PHSS_41881 or a superseding, cumulative patch is installed.
The easy deployment scenarios for SGeSAP is available only after installation of PHSS_42151
and PHSS_42131 or superseding cumulative patches.
The SAP-specific node-local cluster verification, intra-module parallelization, link and cdsf
support for hot standby, elimination of root access requirements and SAP Web Dispatcher
support are available only after installation of PHSS_42151 or a superseding, cumulative
patch.
The Sybase ASE database support, Gateway instance support, the sapcontrol_usage parameter,
Graceful database shutdown, and SAP Netweaver cluster awareness for SAP startup framework
are available only after installation of PHSS_42568 or a superseding, cumulative patch.
The Sybase ASE database support becomes effective after a SGeSAP package is configured
to include Sybase ASE database. In the package configuration ASCII files of an existing
SGeSAP database package, you can change the sgesap/dbinstance module version to 3
before you run the cmapplyconf(1m) command on the package. It is not required to halt
the package for changing the module version.
For example:
module_name sgesap/dbinstance
module_version 3
If you set the sap_stop_blocked parameter to yes, then SGeSAP blocks any manually triggered
instance stop commands issued via sapcontrol while the package is running. This prevents
mistakenly issued instance stops from becoming effective. Instances can then only be halted
via package halt.
This parameter is available from SGeSAP patch PHSS_43196 or a superseding, cumulative
patch. Serviceguard Manager supports the parameter starting from PHSS_43153 patch. Make
sure that all the nodes in the cluster have these patches installed.
HP recommends that you install PHSS_42569 or any superseding, cumulative Serviceguard patch
to enable all SGeSAP enhancements described above in the HP Serviceguard Manager. SAP-specific
node-local cluster verification as part of cmcheckconf(1m) and cmapplyconf(1m) command
is disabled by default after patch installation. To enable the feature, create the following link on
all cluster nodes:
ln s /opt/cmcluster/sap/bin/sapverify.pl /opt/cmcluster/sap/bin/sapverify

Software Availability in Native Languages
SGeSAP provides Native Language Support as part of the GUI functionality in HP Serviceguard
Manager plug-in to System Management Homepage. The command-line interface does not provide
localized versions.
NOTE: Even though the command-line interface does not provide Native Language Support,
SGeSAP functions correctly whether or not the LANG variable is set to C.
