Prerequisites
You must having the following installed and already configured:
HP-UX and Serviceguard
A Serviceguard cluster with at least two nodes attached to the network. (Node names:
clunode1 and clunode2)
Any shared storage supported by Serviceguard. The shared storage used for this configuration
is based on (Enterprise Virtual Array) EVA—a fibre channel based storage solution in an
HPVM configuration.
NOTE: Refer to the latest Managing Serviceguard manual for Serviceguard installation instructions
at www.hp.com/go/hpux-serviceguard-docs > HP Serviceguard > User guide.
The MDM SGeSAP File System Layout
The following table for the file system layout will be used for installing MDM. The configuration
described in this chapter uses the SAP System ID “MO7”. There are three MDM server
components: MDS, MDIS and MDSS. The database used is Oracle and is referred to as MDB.
The file systems can be categorized in three groups:
Local: The file system and the underlying storage are always local to a cluster node. Access
to file system is only possible from this cluster node. The file system cannot be relocated to
other cluster nodes.
Relocatable: In the case of a failover the file system and the underlying storage relocate
together with a Serviceguard package. File system can be relocated to any cluster node. The
