Serviceguard Extension for RAC Version A.11.20 Release Notes, April 2013

• Patch PHSS_41642 for SGeRAC A.11.20 on HP-UX 11i v3
The patch supports the following new features:
◦ SGeRAC toolkit modular style Oracle Clusterware Multi-Node package (OC MNP) and
Oracle RAC instance Multi-Node package (RAC MNP) can be configured through
Serviceguard Manager with minimal user inputs. The OC MNP and RAC MNP package
attributes will be discovered automatically. This requires Oracle Clusterware and RAC
database to be up and running on all the cluster nodes. In site-aware cluster, Oracle
Clusterware and RAC database to be up and running on all nodes of the site where easy
deployment of OC MNP and RAC MNP are attempted. Refer to the Serviceguard Manager
B.03.10 Online help pages for more information.
NOTE: To enable the this feature, Serviceguard A.11.20 Patch PHSS_41628 or later
should be installed. This feature supports only Oracle 11gR2 RAC, CVM/CFS 5.0.1 or
later shared storage. If SGeRAC toolkit legacy OC MNP and RAC MNP packages are
configured then do not use this feature.
◦ The SGeRAC toolkit /opt/cmcluster/SGeRAC/toolkit/README file contents have been
moved to Using Serviceguard Extension for RAC user guide (published March 2011 or
later). Go to www.hp.com/go/hpux-serviceguard-docs, and then click HP
Serviceguard Extension for RAC.
◦ SGeRAC toolkit Oracle Clusterware Multi-Node package and Oracle RAC instance
Multi-Node package can be configured through Serviceguard Manager. Refer to the
latest Serviceguard Manager B.03.10 Online help pages for more information.
NOTE: To enable this feature, the Serviceguard A.11.20 Patch PHSS_41628 or later
should be installed.
◦ SGeRAC toolkit supports modular CFS Disk Group For detailed information, refer to Using
Serviceguard Extension for RAC user guide (published March 2011 or later) at
www.hp.com/go/hpux-serviceguard-docs —> HP Serviceguard Extension
for RAC.
NOTE: To enable this feature the Serviceguard A.11.20 Patch PHSS_41628 and SG
CFS A.11.20 Patch PHSS_41674 or later should be installed.

NOTE: Oracle 11g R2 is supported only on HP-UX 11i v3.
• Support for Oracle 10gR2 RAC, 11gR1 RAC, and 11gR2 RAC
• Support for Cluster Interconnect Monitoring on IPv4 and IPv6
NOTE: SGeRAC supports both IPv4 and IPv6 for a CLUSTER_INTERCONNECT_SUBNET.
If you are using IPv6 in your SGeRAC cluster configuration, then the version of Oracle RAC
that you are using must also support IPv6.
