Support for Serviceguard A.11.20 Cluster Verification
The following are the SGeRAC specific verifications supported by cmcheckconf in Serviceguard
A.11.20:
• The SLVM VG and CVM disk groups configured for the packages are validated.
• If a cluster_interconnect_subnet is used and the verifications package type is MULTI_NODE
or not, then cluster interconnect add/delete/modify is not supported when the package is up
and running.
• If SGeRAC toolkit is used, Toolkit OC MNP, ASMDG MNP, and RAC MNP scripts existence
checks are made.
Support for the SGeRAC Toolkit
The SGeRAC Toolkit provides documentation and scripts to simplify the integration of SGeRAC
and the Oracle 10gR2/11gR1/11gR2 RAC stack. It also manages the dependency between
Oracle Clusterware and Oracle RAC instances with a full range of storage management options
(CFS, SLVM, CVM, ASM over SLVM).
• For more information, see the README. The contents of the README has been moved to the
Using Serviceguard Extension for RAC user guide (published March 2011 or later). Go to
www.hp.com/go/hpux-serviceguard-docs, and then click HP Serviceguard Extension
for RAC.
• Also refer to the white paper Use of Serviceguard Extension for RAC Toolkit with Oracle RAC
10g Release 2 or later at www.hp.com/go/hpux-serviceguard-docs —> HP
Serviceguard Extension for RAC —> General reference.
See also “Dependencies and Limitations” (page 6).
Support for toolkit maintenance mode
This feature allows you to perform Oracle OC/ASMDG/RAC maintenance while OC/ASMDG/RAC
multi-node packages are running in the cluster. It is implemented in the SGeRAC Toolkit by means
of the MAINTENANCE_FLAG parameter. See the white paper Use of Serviceguard Extension for
