SGeRAC must be used with Serviceguard, which provides general purpose clustering.

SGeRAC version A.11.17 permits a maximum of 16 HP 9000 or HP Integrity servers configured as a high availability cluster. Multiple Oracle databases on the same node are supported. Starting with version A.11.15, SGeRAC is decoupled from Serviceguard.

Only releases labeled Platform Release or Current Version will be patched as required. Platform releases will be supported within the specified time frame.

For cmgmsd, the core dump location is in /var/adm/cmcluster/cmsgmsd. By default, log messages from these daemons appear in /var/adm/syslog/syslog.log.

Serviceguard Extension for RAC Version A.11.17 Release Notes Patches and Fixes in this Version Oracle Patches Oracle Installer Check on 11i v2 for Installation on HP 9000 Servers To install Oracle 10g R1 on 11i v2 on HP 9000 servers, you need to use the 10.1.0.3 patch. If 10g versions prior to 10.1.0.3 are used, start the Oracle installer with the option that ignores the operating system check. This does not apply to HP Integrity servers.
