Serviceguard Extension for RAC Version A.11.17 Release Notes

Support for Oracle 9i RAC on Cluster File System
(CFS) and Cluster Volume Manager (CVM)
SGeRAC supports Oracle 9i RAC on Cluster File System (CFS) version
4.1 and Cluster Volume Manager (CVM) version 4.1 through
Serviceguard A.11.17 on HP-UX 11i v2.
This feature is available with either HP Serviceguard CFS 4.1
(T2777BA) for RAC or HP Serviceguard CFS 4.1 (T2797BA) for RAC
with MCOE for use with the HP-UX version 11i v2 operating system.
Also, SGeRAC supports Oracle 9i RAC on CVM versions 3.5. (For more
information on CFS and CVM support, refer to Managing Serviceguard
Twelfth Edition user’s guide).
Support for Oracle 10g RAC on Cluster File System
(CFS) and Cluster Volume Manager (CVM)
SGeRAC supports Oracle 10g R2 RAC on Cluster File System (CFS)
version 4.1 and Cluster Volume Manager (CVM) version 4.1 through
Serviceguard A.11.17 on HP-UX 11i v2.
This feature is available with either HP Serviceguard CFS 4.1
(T2777BA) for RAC or HP Serviceguard CFS 4.1 (T2797BA) for RAC
with MCOE for use with the HP-UX version 11i v2 operating system
Also, SGeRAC supports Oracle 10g R1 RAC on CVM versions 3.5. (For

Support for Shares LVM Online Volume
Reconfiguration (SNOR)
Shared LVM Online Volume Reconfiguration (SNOR) supports the
online volume reconfiguration of a shared volume group. This occurs by
deactivating the shared volume group on all but one node. The shared
volume group is changed from shared to exclusive mode while the
volume group is active. After the online volume changes are completed,
the volume group is reactivated from “exclusive” to “shared” status while
the volume group is active. The shared volume group can then be
activated to “shared” on the rest of the nodes in the cluster. See Table 1-2
