Support for Serviceguard Extension for Faster
Failover
SGeRAC Version A.11.16 provides support for faster failover. The benefit
of using Serviceguard Extension for Faster Failover is that remaining
RAC instances can start the recovery almost immediately after an
instance fails. For more detailed information, refer to the HP
Serviceguard Extension for Faster Failover release notes (product
number T2349BA).
Support for Rolling Upgrade
Serviceguard Extension for RAC version A.11.16 release enables rolling
upgrade. This will allow you to roll from A.11.15 to a later version
without having to halt the cluster on all the nodes. Rolling upgrade
enablement became available at the SGeRAC version A.11.15 release.
NOTE Rolling upgrade is not supported from releases prior to A.11.15.
DB Provider for Monitoring of RAC Instances
Starting with version A.11.16 you can enable a non-root user to have the
capability to monitor the RAC instance via Serviceguard Manager.
