Start and stop Oracle RAC 11g R2 instance

Oracle RAC packages can be started and stopped in order to start RAC DB instances.

When halting the SG cluster (

cmhaltcl –f), the package dependencies ensure that the Oracle RAC

package is halted before the CFSs are unmounted and the OC package gets halted.

Note: SGeRAC Toolkit Maintenance Mode can be used to perform an OC and RAC database

instance maintenance job while Clusterware multi-node package (OC MNP) and RAC database

instance multi-node package (RAC MNP) are running in a cluster. For more details, see Using
