Using HP Serviceguard extension for Oracle E-Business Suite B.01.00, September 2010
clustered environment. Sections F, G, and H are about setting up
SGeEBS and configuring the EBS Tiers as failover packages.
Section I describes the implementation of the complex dependency
between the APPS and DB packages. Section J is about setting up
SGeEBS in Continentalclusters and Section K is about trouble
shooting tips and Section L is about EBS licensing requirements.
This README file assumes that the user has already installed
Serviceguard and configured a cluster having minimum of two nodes.
The Server nodes should have enough memory and shared volume
groups should have enough storage space. It is also assumed that
the user has installed SGeEBS depot on the nodes of the cluster
dedicated for running EBS..

D. Network Configuration
It is beyond the scope of this document to give full detailed
instructions on how to configure the Oracle network products for a
Serviceguard cluster.
Some basic suggestions are given here:
- /etc/hosts
EBS APPS Tier accesses Oracle database instance through a
'hostname'. Therefore
you need to add entries for the relocatable IP-addresses of both,
the APPS and
the database package,to the /etc/hosts file on the nodes used for
running EBS.
