NOTE:
• At time of publication, version B.02.00 of the HP Serviceguard Extension for Oracle E-Business
Suite Toolkit supports the listed versions of HP Serviceguard and HP-UX. For more recent
versions of these products that are certified with this version, see the compatibility matrix

• HP Serviceguard Extension for Oracle E-Business Suite does not support Oracle RAC.

Compatibility Information and Installation Requirements
Compatibility
The HP Serviceguard Extension for Oracle E-Business Suite Toolkit requires the installation of
supported versions of the HP-UX operating system together with HP Serviceguard.
The following are compatible versions of HP-UX OS and HP Serviceguard for this toolkit:
• HP-UX 11i v2 and 11i v3.
• HP Serviceguard version A.11.19 for HP-UX 11i v2 and HP-UX 11i v3.
• HP Serviceguard version A.11.20 for HP-UX 11i v3.
Installation
You can install the HP Serviceguard Extension for Oracle E-Business Suite Toolkit on all nodes in
the cluster using one of the following methods:
• Install as an independent product.
Run the swinstall command to select the following toolkit product number:
◦ T2260AA on HP-UX 11i v2 or HP-UX 11i v3
After installing this toolkit, run the swverify command to determine if the toolkit installation is
successful. If the toolkit is installed, you will see the following output:

After installing, you must set up this toolkit in your environment. For information on setting up the
toolkit, see the HP Serviceguard Toolkit for Oracle E-Business Suite User Guide (published May
2011 or later) at http://www.hp.com/go/hpux-serviceguard-docs.
Directories Created After Installation
After the HP Serviceguard Extension for Oracle E-Business Suite Toolkit is installed, a directory,
/opt/cmcluster/ebs is created. This directory includes the toolkit scripts and the README file.
Additional scripts are installed in the /etc/cmcluster/scripts/ebs/ directory.
Table 1 lists the files created at installation that are specific for the application tier.
