Limitations
This section lists the limitations of HP Serviceguard Toolkit for EnterpriseDB PPAS in a Serviceguard
cluster:
If multiple EnterpriseDB instances are configured, you cannot use the shared storage to keep
the EnterpriseDB binaries. If you are configuring multiple instances of EnterpriseDB, HP
recommends that you keep the EDB binaries only on a local storage.
The toolkit does not support the legacy style configuration. Hence, EnterpriseDB cannot be
packaged in the legacy style, although some toolkits in the ECMT support the legacy style of
packaging.
The HP Serviceguard Toolkit for EnterpriseDB PPAS does not support the legacy style
configuration, therefore, the Configuration directory operation mode operation is also not
supported.
The HP Serviceguard Toolkit for EnterpriseDB PPAS does not support the standby database
concept in EDB.
