NOTE: HP supports the placement of the EDB binaries on the shared storage but does not
recommend this configuration, if multiple instances are configured. This is because, if multiple EDB
instances using the shared EDB binaries are configured, where one of the EDB instance fails and
needs to failover to adoptive node, the file system that holds the EDB binary on the primary node
must be unmounted, and then remounted on the adoptive node. This impacts other EDB instances
hosted on the primary node.
HP recommends that you should not place the EDB binaries on the shared location, when multiple
instances of EDB are configured.
Installing and Uninstalling HP Serviceguard Toolkit for EnterpriseDB PPAS
The HP Serviceguard Toolkit for EnterpriseDB PPAS is a part of ECMT, hence, this toolkit is
automatically installed when you install ECMT B.07.00.01.
