Defect Number Problem and Resolution
QXCR1000832236
Problem: Oracle package fails to halt with NO_RESTART if listener is dead.
Resolution: Added code to not halt the listener if listener is already dead,
so that Oracle package halt succeeds.
QXCR1000813596 Problem: ORA_ver parameter is confusing for Oracle 10g databases.
Resolution: Removed the ORA_ver parameter from the toolkit scripts to
avoid concerns on how to set this variable.
QXCR1000837319 Problem: haoracle_sql.sh's check script, after startup, should check open
status.
Resolution: Added code in the toolkit scripts to check the open status of
the database during database startup.
QXCR1000588969
Problem: Serviceguard ECMT does not handle non default pfile locations.
Resolution: Modified the toolkit scripts to handle non default pfile
locations.
The following defects are fixed in PHSS_40986 (for HP-UX 11i v2) and PHSS_40987 (for HP-UX
11i v3):
QXCR1001019932 Problem: The ECMT Oracle toolkit fails to detect oracle startup correctly
and fails package.
Resolution: The ECMT Oracle toolkit has been modified. This problem is
resolved.
QXCR1001006612 Problem: Starting an Oracle 11gR1 ASM instance package using ECMT
B.05.00 generates the following WARNING message. However, the
instance starts correctly.Deprecated privilege SYSDBA for command
'STARTUP'
Resolution: THe ECMT Oracle toolkit code is changed to resolve the issue.
The following enhancements are available in PHSS_40986 (for HP-UX 11iv2) and PHSS_40987
(for HP-UX 11i v3):
QXCR1001020512 Enhancement: The ECMT Oracle Toolkit supports Oracle database version
11g R2. Oracle 11gR2 is supported on HP-UX 11i v3 only.
QXCR1001019094 Enhancement: The ECMT Oracle Toolkit supports IBM DB2 v9.7.
QXCR1001007921 Enhancement: The ECMT Oracle Toolkit supports ASM with Oracle
database version 11.1.0.7.
