1 Enterprise Cluster Master Toolkit Version B.04.00 Release Notes Announcements This section announces the most important features and limitations of the Enterprise Cluster Master Toolkit B.04.00. For more information, see “What’s in this Version ” (page 8). This third edition of the release notes includes information for support of Oracle 11g R1. This section announces the most important features and limitations of the Enterprise Cluster Master Toolkit B.04.00.
NOTE: Oracle 9i, Oracle 9i RAC, Oracle 10g R1, Oracle 10g R2 and Oracle 11g R1 Database Server are not supported with ASM. NOTE: If the toolkit is running on HP-UX 11i v3, then either HP 9000 servers or HP Integrity Servers are supported. If running on HP-UX 11i v1, then only HP 9000 servers are supported. The Enterprise Cluster Master Toolkit is available in the following ways: • • • HP-UX Application Release Download from http://software.hp.
NOTE: Version B.04.00 of the Enterprise Cluster Master Toolkit is not yet supported with the HP Serviceguard Storage Management Suite or HP-UX 11i v2. Listener Monitoring in Oracle Toolkit Listener monitoring is configured as a separate service. The listener is restarted as a consequence of service restart. If the restart count is exceeded, the Oracle package will fail over. Each time the listener is restarted, a message is logged in the package log file.
The following are compatible versions with the Enterprise Cluster Master Toolkit version B.04.00: • • HP-UX 11i v1 and HP-UX 11i v3. Serviceguard versions A.11.16 and A.11.17.01 with the following exception: — Serviceguard A.11.16 is only supported on HP-UX 11i v1 for this version of the Enterprise Cluster Master Toolkit. — Serviceguard A.11.17.01 is only supported on HP-UX 11i v3 for this version of the Enterprise Cluster Master Toolkit. • Serviceguard Extension for RAC version A.11.
NOTE: Oracle 9i, Oracle 9i RAC, Oracle 10g R1, Oracle 10g R2 and Oracle 11g R1 Database Server are not supported with ASM. NOTE: At time of publication version B.04.00 of the ECM Toolkit supports the above versions of Serviceguard and HP-UX. Check the ECMT support matrix to see if more recent versions of these products have been certified with B.04.00.

This results in an immediate shutdown of the package after starting it.
Oracle Toolkit cannot handle password protected listeners • • What is the problem? Oracle toolkit does not work with password protected listeners even if the password is correctly configured in the toolkit scripts. The package fails to start. What is the workaround? Changes are required in the Oracle toolkit scripts, haoracle_sql.sh and halistener.mon. A detailed workaround is documented in SR 8606466572/CR JAGag22046.
