Announcements
Metrocluster with Continuous Access EVA is a Hewlett-Packard high availability product
for Serviceguard customers requiring integrated disaster recovery solutions. Metrocluster
with Continuous Access EVA provides automated reconfiguration of HP StorageWorks
Enterprise Virtual Arrays (EVA) Series using Continuous Access.
Metrocluster with Continuous Access EVA Version A.05.01 is being released on HP-UX
11i v2 and HP-UX 11i v3 with the following product number:
T2403CA - license, media, and documentation
Integrating Metrocluster Continuous Access EVA with Serviceguard allows application
packages to automatically fail over:
among local nodes that are attached to the same EVA series array.
between one system that is attached locally to its EVA frame and another remote
node that is attached locally to the other EVA frame.
Since Metrocluster configurations may be complex to configure and maintain, it is strongly
recommended that you use Hewlett-Packard’s high availability consulting services to
ensure a smooth installation and rollout. Contact your HP representative to inquire about
high availability consulting. In addition, you should work with your HP representative to
ensure that you have the required firmware revisions for disk drives, disk controllers, LAN
controllers, and other hardware.
What’s in this Version
Metrocluster with Continuous Access EVA provides automated failover of Serviceguard
packages on local and remote EVA series disk arrays.

Metrocluster with Continuous Access for EVA with the patches listed under “Patches
Introduced for A.05.01 for the April 2011 Enhancements (page 15), provides the
following new capabilities:
