In this white paper the recovery groups, sales_rac9i_recgp_1 and sales_rac9i_recgp_2, are assumed
to be configured in Continentalclusters using EMC SRDF data replication. The recovery groups,
inv_rac10g_recgp, billing_recgp, payroll_recgp, and mkt_recgp, are assumed to be configured in
Continentalclusters using Continuous Access P9000 or XP data replication. It is assumed that all the
primary packages are up on the Atlanta cluster (i.e., production cluster) and that the monitor package
ccmonpkg is running on HOUnode1.
Software requirements
The following software must be installed on all nodes of the primary and recovery cluster:
HPUX 11i v2 or HPUX 11i v3
HP Serviceguard or HP Serviceguard extension for RAC versions, A.11.17, A.11.17.01, and
A.11.18 or later. For Serviceguard version A.11.18, modular packages are not supported.
Continentalclusters A.07.00 or later
Metrocluster with SRDF A.06.00 or later or Metrocluster with Continuous Access XP A.07.00
or later
For supported versions of these products, refer the Disaster Tolerant Clusters Products Compatibility
and Feature Matrix at

Hardware requirements
.
A BC/BCV is required for each secondary mirror copy in the device group, on the recovery cluster. In
XP terminology, one dedicated BC is required for every SVOL device in a P9000 or XP device group
on the recovery cluster. Similarly in Symmetrix terminology, one dedicated Business Continuity Volume
(BCV) is required for every R2 device in a SRDF device group. Before the start of rehearsal, this
BC/BCV is split from the secondary mirror copy so that it retains a copy of the production data while
rehearsal is in progress. In case of a primary site failure during rehearsal, the secondary mirror copy
can be restored from the BC/BCV before initiating recovery.
Note: Do not present the BC/BCV to the host.
At each cluster that is configured with Continentalclusters monitor package, a non-replicated shared
disk is needed. The file system used for the Continentalclusters state directory will be mounted on this
shared disk. The Continentalclusters monitor package (ccmonpkg) must be configured to mount this
filesystem on the shared disk.
