Disaster recovery rehearsal in Continentalclusters

Continentalclusters configuration
The Continentalclusters parameter CONTINENTAL_CLUSTER_STATE_DIR is the absolute path to the
Continentalclusters state directory where the state related information required for Maintenance mode
feature is stored. This filesystem is mounted and unmounted by ccmonpkg at the time of package
startup and halt respectively. This directory is configured in the ccmonpkg package control script
under FS[0] which is described in the section “
Configure the monitor package with the shared disk.
In this white paper the Continentalclusters state directory name created is assumed to be
/opt/cmconcl/statedir.
Figure 3 represents the configuration required on the clusters configured
with the monitor package.
The maintenance mode feature is supported only if the CONTINENTAL_CLUSTER_STATE_DIR
parameter is configured. In addition, the cmrecovercl commands options “-d” or “-e” (which move the
recovery group into maintenance mode or out of maintenance mode, respectively) require the monitor
package to running on the cluster.

Note: The Continentalclusters state directory should be created on every cluster that is configured with the ccmonpkg
package. If Continentalclusters parameter CONTINENTAL_CLUSTER_STATE_DIR is configured, then those monitor
packages not configured to mount the filesystem will fail to start.
