Upgrading from Earlier Versions
You can upgrade to Continentalclusters Version A.08.00 from version A.06.xx versions.
For versions prior to A.06.xx, you must first upgrade to Version A.06.00, and then
upgrade to Version A.08.00.
To upgrade Continentalclusters from an earlier version to version A.07.00, complete
the following steps:
1. Ensure all recover groups are out of Maintenance mode.
2. Ensure that a copy of Continentalclusters configuration ASCII file is present.
3. Halt the ccmon package:
# cmhaltpkg ccmonpkg
4. Install the Continentalclusters version A.08.00.
5. Setup the security infrastructure for Continentalclusters user. For details, see the
Setting up Security with Continentalclusters Version A.08.00 section in the Designing
Disaster Recovery HA Clusters Using Metrocluster and Continentalclusters manual
available at: www.hp.com/go/hpux-serviceguard-docs —> HP Continentalclusters.
6. Re-apply the Continentalclusters configuration using the original configuration
file.
# cmapplyconcl -C cmconl.config
7. Start the ccmon package:
# cmrunpkg ccmonpkg
