8 Configuration Notes

1) It is recommended that Oracle database is installed locally on every node and not on shared

storage.

2) It is a must requirement that the Metrocluster environment file must reside in a location other

than the package configuration directory.

3) The script ccrac_mgmt.ksh is intended for failback operations for Oracle RAC in a

Continentalclusters environment. This script should not be used in a single instance

application failback scenario.

4) Continentalclusters supports recovery of applications over CVM/CFS 4.1 only with

Serviceguard Storage Management Suite software installed on both primary and recovery

clusters.

5) Continentalclusters does not support recovery of applications over CVM/CFS 4.1 on HP

StorageWorks Disk Array EVA Series with Continuous Access EVA.
