Configuring Single Instance Applications in CFS/CVM Environments in Continentalclusters, November 2006
16
CCRAC_CVM_DGS - CVM disk groups configured for the device specified in the above
environment file for variable DEVICE_GROUP. These are the disk groups used by the
associated single instance application package. It is important that all of the disk groups
configured for the specified DEVICE_GROUP are listed. If only partial of the configured disk
groups are listed, the device will not be prepared properly and the storage will result in an
inconsistent state.
CCRAC_CLUSTER - Serviceguard cluster name configured as the primary cluster of the
corresponding single instance application package. This parameter is mandatory.
CCRAC_INSTANCE_PKGS - in a single instance application with CFS/CVM environment, this
parameter is set to the primary application package name.
CCRAC_ENV_LOG - logfile specification for the storage preparation output.
3) Configure either Continuous Access XP or EMC SRDF for data replication. Provide the
location of the environment file as a value for the CCRAC_ENV parameter. Provide the CVM
disk group name as a value for the CCRAC_CVM_DGS parameter.
Eg:
CCRAC_ENV[0]=/etc/cmcluster /ccrac/db1EnvFile_xpca.env
CCRAC_CVM_DGS [0]=<disk_group_name>
CCRAC_INSTANCE_PKGS [0] =<package_names>
CCRAC_CLUSTER [0]=<primary_cluster_name>
CCRAC_ENV_LOG[0]=/tmp/db1_prep.log
NOTE: Recovery of single instance applications extends the use of ccrac.config which was originally
meant for recovery of Oracle RAC with CC, including Oracle RAC CVM/CFS configurations
4) Transfer this file to all nodes in both primary and the recovery cluster under the
/etc/cmconcl/ccrac directory.
$whoami
root
$rcp ccrac.config ccia2: /etc/cmconcl/ccrac
$rcp ccrac.config ccia3: /etc/cmconcl/ccrac
$rcp ccrac.config ccia4: /etc/cmconcl/ccrac
5.7 Starting the monitor package
1) Start the monitor package on the recovery cluster.
$cmrunpkg ccmonpkg
2) View the status of the Continentalclusters primary and recovery cluster using cmviewconcl –v
command.
$cmviewconcl –v
