Occurs when a device is un-
presented before deleting the
device with the spmgr delete
command, and you add new
device with the same virtual disk
or unit number as the old device,
as the new device is bound to the
WWLUNID of the old deleted
device. This leaves the newly ad-
ded LUN in an inconsistent state.

Table 12 describes the way that Secure Path reports an event, such as a failure or state change to
the server through the Secure Path driver (hsx) or agent (spagent).
The Response action column shows where the event is logged.
• LOG is the /var/adm/syslog/syslog.log file.
• CONSOLE is the root console.
• NOTIFY is e-mail notification.
The Level column indicates the criticality of the event and is used by spmgr to allow the system
administrator to route events to specific users.
