Troubleshooting Secure Path for Active-Passive disk arrays
You or an HP service representative can perform troubleshooting, depending on your HP service
contract. If you are unable to resolve an error condition, ask your HP service representative for
assistance.
Table 11 lists Secure Path events, sample user notification messages, and sample syslog messages.

CPQswsp: Persistence error.
Cause: Insufficient system
memory. Failed to update the
persistent data for the Ar-
ray 50001FE150 003440. This
may result in the loss of
Secure Path configuration
settings for this Array
across system reboots
CPQswsp: Persistence error.
Cause: Insufficient system
memory. Failed to re-
trieve/update the persist-
ent data. May result in
change/loss of Secure Path
configuration/device set-
tings across system re-
boots.
Occurs when array settings (such
as load balancing, path verifica-
tion, path verification period,
auto-restore) are changed and
there is a failure to update the
persistent data of array settings
in the kernel.
CPQswsp: Persistence error.
Cause: Insufficient system
memory. Failed to update the
persistent data for the Ar-
ray 50001FE150 003440. This
may result in the change of
c#t#d# values of the LUNs
configured on this Array
across system reboots
CPQswsp: Persistence error.
Cause: Insufficient system
memory. Failed to re-
trieve/update the persist-
ent data. May result in
change/loss of Secure Path
configuration/device set-
tings across system re-
boots.
Occurs when there is a failure in
retrieving the persistent data of
an array (like load balancing,
path verification, path verification
period, auto-restore) during boot.
CPQswsp: Persistence error.
Cause: Insufficient system
memory. Failed to update the
persistent data for the
syslog setting. This may
result in the loss of Secure
Path log level settings
across system reboots

Cause: Insufficient system
memory. Failed to re-
trieve/update the persist-

change/loss of Secure Path
configuration/device set-

Occurs when you add LUNs us-
ing spmgr add or when you
present new LUNs at the array
after you run ioscan, and if there
is a failure in updating the persist-
ent data of the Secure Path Virtu-
al LUN in the kernel.

Occurs when the log settings are
changed (such as syslog, console,
and notify) and there is a failure
