Upgrading from the Web
To upgrade your Secure Path for Active-Passive disk arrays software, access the upgrade package
available at:
h
ttp://www.hp.com/country/us/eng/prodserv/storage.html
This package is intended as an upgrade only. The patch depot upgrades only Secure Path 3.0A, 3.0
SP3, 3.0B SP3, 3.0C, 3.0D, 3.0E, 3.0F, 3.0F SP1, 3.0F SP2 or 3.0F SP3 to 3.0F SP4. Therefore,
you must install one of these revisions for the upgrade to succeed.
Complete the following steps for a successful upgrade:
1. Copy the upgrade tar package to a temporary directory (for example, /tmp).
2. Unbundle the upgrade files by entering the following commands:
# cd /tmp/Securepath
# tar xvf sp_v30fsp4_web.tar
3. Verify that the directory contains the installation script install.sh and the following patch
depots:
HPswsp_v30Fsp4
CPQswsp_v30Fsp4
4. Install Secure Path software on the server using the provided shell script by entering the following
command:
# ./install.sh
5. Select Secure Path Ver 3.0F SP4 for HP-UX for Active-Passive class of disk arrays when prompted.
Follow the on-screen instructions.
When the installation is complete and the server reboots, a subsequent swlist displays the following

and utilities, for Active-Passive Disk Arrays
NOTE:
If you are using the SCSI-2 protocol, the LUNs you see after the upgrade are the same ones you
configured before the upgrade. If you are using SCSI-3 or are changing from SCSI-2 to SCSI-3, the
LUNs you see after the upgrade are the ones you configured before the upgrade, followed by all
LUNs (up to 127) that the server can see and claim for the array.
