Adding LUNs
The spmgr add command provides the following options:
# spmgr add WWLUNID
# spmgr add –r WWNN all
During installation, all HSG80 units and HSV110 virtual disks that are presented to the server are
added and attached by Secure Path for Active-Passive disk arrays.
Complete the following steps to add storage after installation:
1. Present the units or virtual disks to the storage system.
2. Run ioscan to add and attach the new storage.
3. Run insf to install and assign device files.
NOTE:
The spmgr add command is not required for adding new storage.
To add units or virtual disks that have been previously deleted using spmgr delete and are displayed
in the spmgr display -u list of unattached devices, complete the following steps:
1. Run spmgr add to add the LUNs to Secure Path for Active-Passive disk arrays.
2. Run ioscan to claim the LUNs.
3. Run insf to install and assign device files.
NOTE:
To configure a LUN under Secure Path during new LUN discovery or during the spmgr add, resources,
c#t#d# value, and system memory must be available. If any of these resources are not available,
the LUN will be in an unmapped state and is displayed as part of the unattached list. To map these
LUNs and to add them to the Secure Path active list, ensure that the resources are available and you
run ioscan.
