NOTE:
• When you run the spmgr display command, the screen output uses the alias, if any, and the
standard storage system WWNN or controller serial number. The alias is enclosed in parentheses
(alias_name).
• For a command set that requires a parameter, it is assumed that the parameter or its alias may
be input. You cannot alias a command.
Setting storage system parameters
The Secure Path 3.0F SP4 for Active-Passive driver has options that allows you to enable or disable
on a storage system or global basis. You can turn off or on these options dynamically. These changes
occur within 45 seconds.
This section describes the following:
• set command
• log command
• notify command
set command
The spmgr set command allows you to enable storage system-specific settings for Secure Path for
Active-Passive disk arrays, including:
• Load balancing—Secure Path for Active-Passive implements various types of load balancing al-
gorithms to effectively use all of the available paths to a unit for I/O. By default, the load balancing
is disabled.
