NOTE: Although Serviceguard Manager appears to support putting a package
in maintenance mode, the current version will generate an error if you try to do
it.
• Cross-subnet configuration (see “About Cross-Subnet Configurations” (page 29)).
You cannot use Serviceguard Manager to configure a cross-subnet cluster or
package.
What’s Not in this Release
• Serviceguard A.11.19 does not support Red Hat 4.
The last version that did was A.11.18. Serviceguard A.11.19 does support Red Hat
5 and SUSE SLES 10 and 11.
• The cmresmond daemon is no longer used for disk monitoring.
Disk monitoring is now managed by cmresserviced, which has a new option,
[-t, --poll-interval <seconds>]

Features Introduced Before A.11.19
New Features First Introduced in Serviceguard for Linux A.11.18 Patches
The following features were first introduced in patches to A.11.18:
• Serviceguard supports DM-MPIO; see “Support for DM-MPIO” (page 28).
• Serviceguard supports cross-subnet configurations. See “About Cross-Subnet
Configurations” (page 29).
• Serviceguard provides a means of automatically migrating existing (legacy)
packages to modular packages. See “Migrating Legacy to Modular Packages”
(page 31).
• Further package capabilities, additional to those introduced in Serviceguard A.11.19,
are described under“Other Package Changes” (page 31).
• You can configure an alternate subnet for communication between the cluster
nodes and a Quorum Server. See “Alternate Quorum Server Subnet” (page 32).
• Serviceguard for Linux supports HP Integrity Virtual Machines (HPVM) version
3.5, 4.0, or 4.1, and VMware ESX Server (VMware) versions 3.5 and 3.0.2. See
“Support for HPVM, VMware ESX Server, and Xen Virtual Machines” (page 32).
