For example:
rpm -Uhv hpsmh-2.1.7-168.linux.i386.rpm
NOTE: If you are installing the SUSE version, you can ignore the message
that may appear warning you to run SMHCONFIG.
3. Install the Apache Tomcat software, as follows (all on one line):
rpm -Uhv hpsmh-<version>.linux.<architecture>.rpm
For example:
rpm -Uhv hpsmh-tomcat-1.0-11.sles10.rpm
• For both platforms, complete the installation as follows:
1. Run the following script:
/opt/hp/hpsmh/tomcat/bin/tomcat_cfg
IMPORTANT: For Integrity platforms, make sure you have modified the script,
if necessary, as instructed earlier in this section; the script will fail otherwise.
2. When prompted, enter or confirm the path to the Java JDK (see “Downloading
and Installing the Required Software from the Internet” (page 59) for examples).
3. To verify the installation, open a web browser and navigate to
http://[hostname]:2301/
The System Management Homepage should appear.
If you specified the path to Java incorrectly, you will see the following error when
you try to launch Serviceguard Manager:
Bad gateway. The proxy server received an invalid response
from an upstream server.
If everything is working correctly, continue with “Installing Serviceguard Manager
B.01.01”.
Installing Serviceguard Manager B.01.01
1. On the HP Serviceguard for Linux CD, go to
<linux_version>/SGManager/<architecture>, for example, SLES10/
SGManager/IA32
2. Install Serviceguard Manager by running the following command (all on one line):
rpm -Uhv sgmgrpi-B.01.01-3.<linux version>.<architecture>.rpm
