NOTE: To obtain DSAU for Red Hat 5, you must download it from http://
www.hp.com/go/softwaredepot -> High availability -> Linux
Distributed System Administration Utilities. Select Receive for
free and choose the version for your platform and Linux version.
Downloading and Installing the Required Software from the Internet
For Integrity platforms:
Download the SMH and Tomcat software from
http://www.hp.com/go/softwaredepot -> Linux.
Click on the Receive for Free>> button next to HP Integrity Essentials
Foundation Pack for Linux Support Pack. On the next page, choose
the version appropriate to your version of Linux. Make sure you download
version 4.5 or later (4.51 or later for Red Hat 5).
See “Installing HP SMH and HP SMH Tomcat” (page 60) for installation
instructions.
For both platforms:
1. Go to http://java.sun.com/j2se/downloads
Select Download JDK for Java JDK 1.6 Update 12 or later, and then select
your Linux platform and architecture (Linux or Linux x64 for a ProLiant
system or Linux Intel Itanium for an Integrity system) and follow the
instructions for downloading the rpm.
2. Install the software.
3. Write down the path to the installed software, for example, /usr/java/
jdk1.6.0_12 for an Integrity system, or /usr/java/jdk1.6.0_12/bin/
java for a ProLiant system. You will need it when completing the Apache
Tomcat custom installation; see “Installing HP SMH and HP SMH Tomcat”
(page 60).
4. Copy the software to each node in the cluster if you want to be able to run
Serviceguard Manager from all nodes.
