Known issues
Following are the known issues and limitations in this release of SAN Visibility:
• Port module type and license information are not available for Brocade switches through
SMI-S.
• CISCO 9020 switches do not report connected switches, IP gateway and correct sensor value.
• License information and FC address are not available for Cisco and McData switches.
• FC address and IP Gateway information are not available for Brocade switches.
• Firmware version and sensor information is not available for the Brocade multi protocol router
(AP7420).
• IP Gateway, FC address, fan status and license information are not available for Qlogic
switches.
• SAN Visibility does not support Admin Domain for Brocade switches. If Admin Domains are
configured in the switch, zone related information may not report correctly.
• SMI-S based data collection may return some invalid characters in the description for the HBA
driver and the Array Firmware.
• HP Storage 8/20q and QLogic switches returns same World Wide Name (WWN) for all the
connected switches in a fabric, when SNMP Proxy parameter is set to "True" (default value).
To resolve this issue, change the SNMP proxy parameter to "False" before initiating switch
data collection. For more information on how to change SNMP proxy settings, see the
Troubleshooting section of the HP Storage SAN Visibility 6.0 User Guide.
• SAN Visibility does not support IPv6 data collection for a QLogic switch.
• Brocade switches running FOS6.2.0a may not report attached device properly, resulting SAN
Visibility not being able to correctly categorize connected switches.
• Qualification of host discovery/data collection in IPv6 environment is not done in HP Storage
SAN Visibility 6.0.
