HP Mainframe Connectivity Design Guide

Table 91 (page 147) lists the features and requirements for the B-series 400 MP Router and MP
Router Blade.
Table 91 B-series 400 MP Router and MP Router Blade features and requirements
RequirementsFeature

support for iSCSI and FCIP
B-series DC04 SAN Director with FR4-18i blade
B-series 4/256 SAN Director with FR4-18i blade
B-series 400 Multi-protocol Router
TCP/IP IPv4, Ethernet 10 Mb/s, 100 Mb/s, and 1,000 Mb/sIP network protocols
All 400 MP Router and MP Router Blade FCIP implementations must have dedicated IP
bandwidth. HP does not support 400 MP Router or MP Router Blade configurations with
FCIP tunnels configured with nondedicated bandwidth. For more information about
configuring and monitoring FCIP extension services, see HP StorageWorks Fabric OS
6.x Administrator Guide.
Notes:
HP P9000/XP Continuous Access storage systems require a minimum IP bandwidth
of 16 Mb/s.
FCIP is supported with IPsec data encryption (license required) or Fastwrite
acceleration. This requires a minimum of firmware version 5.2.0a.
IPsec and Fastwrite are mutually exclusive and cannot be
nl
configured simultaneously.
The connection to the 400 MP Router and MP Router Blade FCIP port must be GbE
compatible.
